Generations HIV
Project Roles
- Front-end development
- Information/Data architecture
Generations HIV is a digital media experiment that records video questions, answers, and stories by people from all walks of life about HIV/AIDS.
The dedicated folks behind this experiment came to Travers + Todd with a design by Ian Price at pricewatkins.com, and a need to make the library come to life on the web. Our task was to create a repository to serve up 1000+ videos without sacrificing performance.
We created a backend in WordPress to allow them to add data based on their needs, including YouTube media. To ease the upload of so many videos, we developed the front-end of the site to take advantage of YouTube’s content-delivery network for serving up media thumbnails.
